Welcome to Songwriter Club!

A casual catch up for local songwriters in Tāmaki Makaurau. A chance to network, talk about song ideas, share resources, do little challenges (if you want) with a couple of performances at the end. All with a cuppa tea / coffee. Hosted by Ema I'u.

**All welcome. You don't have to have already written songs, you could just be interested in getting into it and looking for some inspiration.**

If this goes well, we'll endevour to host an event every month or so. Perhaps will different themes, performers and hosts.

Sunday 16th July.

Time: 4pm-5.30pm

Followed by a Matariki Open Mic / Meal so stick around :) 5.30pm-9pm

There will be some coffee/ tea options.

Bring some food / snacks if you want to eat something and/or add to the shared dinner being made later  . 

There will be a basic PA set up with microphone and Acoustic Guitar.

SCHEDULE:

4.00pm-5.30pm - Casual chats and if anyone wants to share a song they are working on there will be space for that.

5.30pm-9.00pm - We are tapping this get-together onto an open mic so there will be space to perform then. 

Invite your friends and family along to that if you like....

Holding Space & GC Hub presents a Matariki Open Mic Night. Come together and connect with our community over live music, poetry, and performance.

Bring an ingredient to add to our vegetarian 'Friendship Soup' and let's enjoy a shared meal together.

Matariki is a time for remembrance, celebrating the present and looking to the future. 

Matariki Hunga Nui - Remembrance. Honouring those we have lost since the last rising of Matariki.

Matariki Ahunga Nui - Celebrating the Present. Gathering together to give thanks for what we have.

Matariki Manako Nui - Looking to the Future. Looking forward to the promise of a new year.
