Ellen Melville Centre has long been a community space that celebrates and supports our local women. In this spirit Ellen Melville & Holding Space Aotearoa are proud to bring you a new monthly - Live Music Showcase featuring talented Wāhine / Fem Identifying musicians: Second Friday of the month, 5-7pm. Come and enjoy some tunes in Freyberg Square to kick start your weekend.

Friday 8 March we have: EMA I'U 

EMA I'U (pronounced Emma ee ‘u) is a full time creative of Sāmoan/ Pākehā heritage based in Tāmaki Makaurau. Renowned for her soulful and versatile voice, Ema draws in audiences with her storytelling and powerful stage presence with a background in theatre and environmental activism. Ema works with community Arts Trust: Holding Space Aotearoa and The Songwriters4ClimateAction Project and has started releasing original music with her debut album in development.  https://linktr.ee/emaiu
