Soundcheck to Stage: Performance Workshop for SW4CA Musicians.
An all-ages workshop for SW4CA musicians working towards upcoming events who want to lift their confidence, skills and professionalism on stage. We’ll dive into how to run an effective sound check, essential microphone/ set up techniques, and simple ways to build your presence on stage.
Each participant will bring an original song and perform it twice with practical feedback in between. Please bring your instrument, an original song, and your creative eye. After we look at songs, there will be time to work on some promotional material, ie. short videos, photos, answering some interview questions about your originals.
Hosted by Ravi the Poet and Ema Barton, two artists with decades of experience across music, theatre, touring and running sound.
Come along, learn from our mistakes and make the stage your own :)
